Busstur, badstu og konsert // Barents Spektakel 2023
I samarbeid med Baltic Circle-festival (Helsinki), presenterer vi en begivenhetsrik dag søndag 26. februar, som en del av det prosjektet «B2B: From the Baltic to the Barents Sea».
Fra avgang ved Scandic/John Savios plass i Kirkenes, tar bussen oss med til Gandvik, Bugøynes og Ä´vv Skoltesamisk museum i Neiden, og vil by på forestillinger av Pauliina Feodoroff, Pia Lindman og Niilas.
Billetter selges som en pakke med tre arrangementer inkludert (konsertbillett til Niilas kan også kjøpes separat, for de som ikke er med på bussreisen). Pakken inkluderer transport, mat, drikke og badstue.

Velkommen til dagstur på festivalsøndagen av Barents Spektakel! Under følger programmet og litt praktisk informasjon.
Dessverre har kunstneren Pauliina Feodoroff meldt frafall og vil ikke være med og gjøre sin performance som en del av bussturen. Vi tror likevel at denne søndagsturen skal bli en flott opplevelse!
Vi får nå litt mer tid i Bugøynes - og vi har også lagt inn lengre tid på Ä´vv Skoltesamisk museum, inkludert omvisning for de som vil være med på det. Dagen avsluttes med konsert med Niilas. Dersom du på grunn av disse endringene likevel ikke vil delta, gi oss beskjed, og vi skal refundere din billett.

Praktisk info:
Badstuen ligger 2,5 kilometer fra Bugøynes, ved Mortensanden. Vi serverer snacks og har dunker med drikkevann tilgjengelig ved badstua. Det er ingen dusj knyttet til badstua, men den ligger ved en flott sandstrand med gode muligheter for friske og avkjølende bad i Barentshavet!
Vi kjører “finsk stil” i badstua, det vil si at vi oppfordrer alle til å kun bruke håndkle i badstu, i stedet for badetøy. Badstuen er for alle kjønn. Ta gjerne med ditt eget håndkle om mulig. Vi har også noen håndklær tilgjengelige for utlån.
Lunsjen er inkludert. Det vil også selges enkel mat på museet på museet i Neiden for de som også ønsker det.

*Revised* Program Sunday 26. February: Bus tour performance, sauna & concert
Unfortunately artist Pauliina Feodoroff has had to cancel her performance during the Baltic to Barents tour to Bugøynes this Sunday because of illness. Pauliina sends her apologies and hopes that we can take this tour together on some other occasion in the future. If you have bought a ticket for the event and would like a refund, please get in touch.
The day will still go ahead as planned and we have put together an alternative programme with the planned sauna performance by Pia Lindman, and a tour of the Ävv Skoltesámi museum with Hanna-Maria Kiprianoff. The day also concludes as planned with the concert by Niilas.

Practical info
The sauna is located 2.5 kilometres from Bugøynes, by Mortensanden. We serve snacks and have drinking water available at the sauna. There is no shower connected to the sauna, but it is located by a beautiful sandy beach with good opportunities for winter bathing in the Barents Sea!
At the artist´s request, the sauna will be "Finnish style", which means we do NOT wear swimwear inside the sauna. We encourage you to wear your towel in the sauna instead of swimwear if you do not want to be naked. The sauna is for all genders.
Please bring your own towel if possible! If this is not possible, a towel can be borrowed at the sauna.
Lunch is included - we will have a delicious selection of soup at Kirkenes Bistro.
Smaller snacks and sandwiches will also be sold at the museum in Neiden later in the day for those who want it.
NB! If you are going to take the Norwegian flight that leaves at 19.55, we can organise an earlier transport from Neiden to the airport. Send an email to neal@pikene.no if this applies to you.
Pia Lindman introduserer And then there are silences that speak of something else, still there, et verk som tar utgangspunkt i behandlingene som ble gitt innbyggere i Sør-Varanger i januar 2023 og kunstnerens engasjement for det "subsensoriske". Arrangementet legger opp til performative samtaler inne i en 70-seters badstue i fiskeværet Bugøynes. Badstuer fermenterer og omfordeler relasjoner mellom både menneskelige og mer-enn-menneskelige samfunn, og denne kollektive forestillingen vil være en invitasjon til å starte en kroppslig utveksling og læringsprosess for velvære.
Niilas er en komponist, musiker og lydkunstner som vever sammen sjangere, instrumenter og elektronikk til et unikt musikalsk uttrykk. Med forankring i sin samiske bakgrunn og klubbkultur, skaper han glitrende, melankolske melodier, som på hans tredje soloalbum Stone Skipping (2022), hvor joik møtte iransk santoor og Moog Matriarch på samme spor.

Barents Spektakel, in collaboration with Baltic Circle festival (Helsinki), presents a day of events on Sunday 26. February as part of the “B2B: From the Baltic to the Barents Sea” artistic research project. Departing on a coach tour from John Savio’s Square, Kirkenes with visits to Bugøynes, Gandvik, and the Ä´vv Skoltesamisk museum, the day will feature performances by Pauliina Feodoroff, Pia Lindman, and Niilas.
Tickets are sold as a three event package (Niilas concert tickets can also be bought separately, for those not travelling to Bugøynes). Includes food, drinks, and sauna.
Pauliina Feodoroff presents Steer the way, Njâuddam - a guided bus tour into invisibilities. It introduces the places, families and routes mapped by the lands and waters but missed by the Norwegian guideposts. We will be visiting the Njauddâm siida and hear some loose-end stories of the neighbouring Paaččjokk and Suõ'nn'jel siidas. Hosted by Pauliina Feodoroff on her family lands. Snacks and grievances will be served.
Pia Lindman introduces And then there are silences that speak of something else, still there: A work that is based on the treatments given to people in Sør-Varanger in January 2023 and the artist’s engagement with the “subsensorial”. During the event, performative conversations will be exchanged inside a 70-seater sauna in the village of Bugøynes. Saunas are fermenters and redistributors of relations for both human and more-than-human communities, and this collective performance will be an invitation to start an embodied sharing and process of learning to care differently.
Niilas is a composer, artist and sound artist who weaves together genres, instruments, field recordings and electronics into a unique musical expression. Rooted in his Sámi background and club culture, he creates sparkling, melancholic melodies, such as on his third solo album Stone Skipping (2022), where joik meets Iranian santoor and Moog Matriarch in a complex dialogue.
