Home Theater: 80° // Barents Spektakel 2023

80° er en del av Barents Spektakels hjemmeteaterserie som holdes private hjem i Kirkenes.

Alena maringeolog. Tidlig på høsten dro hun på en vitenskapelig ekspedisjon til Arktis. Nå fryser skipet med Alena og andre forskere om bord fast til et isflak. Det er en lang vei til nærmeste polarstasjon fremover. Alena får nyheter fra fastlandet ved å lese brev.

Forestillingen 80° er konstruert fra to parallelle virkeligheter – et hus og en gruppe publikummere i Kirkenes og Alenas dagbok fra det arktiske laboratoriet. Publikummet inviteres med for å lage endringer i stykkets struktur under hver forestilling. Slik vil det være til Alena kommer tilbake til land.

Serien med hjemmeteater Serien med hjemmeteater under Barents Spektakel er organisert i samarbeid med Theatre of resistance, en plattform av russiske scenekunstnere som er motstandere av krigen i Ukraina.

80° is part of the Barents Spektakel series of Home theater performances, taking place in private homes in Kirkenes. 

Alena marine geologist. In early autumn, she left for a scientific expedition to the Arctic. Now the ship with Alena and other scientists on board is growing into an ice floe. There is a long drift of the polar station ahead. Alena learns about the news from the land by reading letters.

The performance 80° is constructed from two parallel realities - a house and a group of audience in Kirkenes and Alena’s diary from the arctic laboratory. Collectively, together with the audience we make changes to the plays' structure after each show. So it will be until Alena returns to land.
